What we are building
FareShare is a Canadian-built bill-splitting app that scans receipts, extracts line items, lets people assign shares, and tracks settlement — designed for Canadian households and shared expenses worldwide.
Shared costs should not require a spreadsheet, a group chat argument, or awkward mental math at the table. FareShare turns a receipt into a clear, assignable bill — then helps everyone settle up.
Canadian-first, worldwide ready
FareShare is made in Canada and built in Ontario. We design for Canadian households first: HST, GST, and PST lines that belong on the receipt, CAD totals that read clearly, and privacy expectations aligned with PIPEDA principles.
At the same time, FareShare works worldwide — all currencies, everyday receipt formats, and the same scan → review → assign → settle flow whether you are splitting groceries at home or a dinner abroad.
Who it is for
Roommates splitting groceries. Couples sharing household runs. Friends dividing a dinner. Travel groups catching up after a trip. If you share costs with people you trust, FareShare is built for that everyday friction — in Canada and beyond.
Product principles
Clarity over cleverness: every line should be reviewable before it is shared.
Households first: people who live together need ongoing shared context, not one-off IOUs alone.
Canadian tax awareness without locking out global use: recognize familiar Canadian tax formats while supporting universal receipts.
Honest marketing: this website explains the product and collects a waitlist — the live mobile app will be the authoritative experience at launch.
Launch status
